Issues and Advocacy Committee

Issues and Advocacy Committee

The Issues and Advocacy Committee identifies issues of substantive law, judicial process, and judicial reform that are important to DRI’s membership and to which it can add a unique voice. For issues identified, the Center can form an official DRI position or alternatively, engage in efforts to educate the public through a balanced presentation of all sides of the issue. It also can provide expertise and testimony to legislative and rule-making bodies in pursuit of a fair and just civil justice system. Its public education program engages critical audiences either directly or through a rigorous media relations program with the mainstream and trade media.
